WEST?
Lucas Konk West, born in Buenos Aires ( Argentina ) in 1978,
Lucas Konk West was already one of the upcoming Argentinean
/ French producers in 2001. Currently living in the US,
he was for a long time a 'Parisian' activist in the local
House music / Dance scene. He has been performing live acts,
djing internationaly and producing music ( House Music &
Other genres ) since 1994.
Argentina
born, Parisian in the heart, American in the method, Dj/Producer
Lucas Konk West always brings that LOCO Inside influenced
deep, dirty, funky, smoke filled, Tech-House to home. Lucas
worked with Etienne de Crécy, remixed for Ludovic
Llorca, has releases on legendary Canadian label Stickman
Records & Aquarius. He also put out some dancefloor
anthems in 2002 with Red Menace Records, Initial Cuts, and
Four01 Recordings.
Lucas’
tunes appear on compilations such as Dj Dan, Ministry of
Sound, Hatiras ( Electronic Luv 2 / Blowmedia ) and Dj Tsuyoshi
( Japan ). He had a busy 2002-2003 with releases played
by the top100 Djs including: John Digweed, Steve Lawler,
Danny Howells, Anthony Pappa, Hernan Cattaneo, Jon Acquaviva,
Fafa Monteco, Didier Sinclair, Lee Burridge, Seb Fontaine,
Plump Dj's, Danny Rampling, and many many more.
As
a Dj, Lucas had residencies in the following cities : Paris,
London, Kuala Lumpur, Tokyo, Barcelona, and also sets all
over Europe. He also performed live acts in France.
Finally, Lucas Konk West is also the manager of the successful
holding KW Music Group ( including 4 labels : KW Records,
KW2Records, PIP Music & Konk West Records / Publishing
). Lucas has become an internationaly respected poducer,
known for his flavored dancefloor tracks and for his astonishing
funky attitude that makes him the one and only Konk West,
a successful entrepreneur and professional all the way!
Late 2006, Lucas was hit by a serious blood congestion in
his brain leaving him partially but permanently deaf on
his left ear. This was the beginning of 2 long years of
rehabilitation. Lucas will definitelly be back with a come
back album in 2009 tapped with a over the top concept mix
to be released the same year.
