The Argentinean pair hook up
for KW's debut outing, bringing
their trademark brand of feel
good cosmic house to the label.
"Cosmopolita" uses
fizzing breaks, a monstrous
squishy bass, alarmed keys and
a crazy tripped out synth to
produce an energetic dancefloor
ride. "Do It" morphs
a magical grooving bass under
honey toned warbling vocals,
bright starry FX and unassuming
beats. "I'll Be Here For
You" is the choice track
on the EP, with its driving
beats, cavernous bass, infectious
synth groove and swooning strings. |

release schedule with a 3-tracker
from Ciudad Feliz. The "Cosmopolita
ep" is populated by big,
big sounding house. The main
track has a slight progressive
edge to it which takes away
from the direction a bit. The
flip side offers 2 great tracks,
the best on the EP being "I'll
be here for you" - I deep
rolling groovy house jam that
is perfect on just about any
dancefloor. You'd have to be
deaf not to get down. |

There
is a new label in town. Its name
is KW Records, it is from France
and we should really expect great
things from them. Well at least
if we take a closer look to their
first vinyl. It is called Cosmopolita
EP an exceptional production by
Ciudad Feliz aka “the argentinian
guys”. They are no strangers
to the international house scene
as they have published their productions
on labels like 2020 Vision, Stickman,
Aquarius, Silver Network etc.
The first track which gave the
name to the EP is called, well,
Cosmopolita. This one is a serous
peace of funky house. I bet there
is no dancefloor which can resist
to such a track. By combining
lots of instruments, filters and
voices they have created a unique
song which can make the difference
in a set. Also the song itself
feels very trendy and it can easily
climb the charts all over Europe
and beyond. The first track on
side B called “Do it”
is a juicy song with a great baseline
- it feels like a fender guitar
on steroids. They must have used
lots of filters in this production
and well the result is a club
track which can be described just
as “French house from Argentina”.It
realy is easy going and funky
at the same time. The second tracks
title is “I’ll be there”
and it is even funkier than the
first one. Once again they show
us a good mastering of bass sounds
and filters. |

avec cet Ep Chez KW Records.
En face A : Cosmopolita, titre
house comportant quelques riffs
de vocal et une mélodie
sur laquelle j'ai un peu du
mal à accrocher par le
sample bizarre. Malgrè
cela ca s'écoute très
facilement et j'aime beaucoup
la rythmique.
Mais encore fois, c'est la Face
B ici ou tout se passe pour
ma part, "Do it",
compo très travaillée
avec ce charmant riff vocal
qui entraine tout le morceau
sur ces gros sons synthétiques.
La B2 est aussi très
sympathique toujours agréablement
travaillée dans un style
house plus coulé et plus
passe partout. C'est simple
mais c'est efficace. |
