Tout aussi hypnotique que dynamique

‘What’s’ (134),
tech-house enlevée avec
un vocal décalé
assez surprenant.
Le dancefloor en redemande.

Bertrand a young French producer
teams up with Lucas Konk West
for a funky, dancefloor cracker.
"Dance" on the A-side
is a grooving tech house track
with loads of percussion, sneering
effects, sudden drop-outs and
more finger-licking ingredients.
A bit of melody and a lot of
pounding kick drums and funky
flavoured basslines will keep
you busy till the end. There's
also a looped DJ tool for the
creative people among us. "Don't
Dance" is a little less
interesting but still maintains
the flow. Again pounding beats
and a small amount of funk in
combination with a male vocal
sample, work for shure. Well
produced tech house thumpers.

KW1003 - “Dance”
is an awesome electro-tinged
track that will work well in
both tech-house or progressive
sets. Some great pad action
in the break nicely offsets
the dirty bassline to make for
an interesting journey throughout.
This one will get lots of play
from me in the coming months.
KW2003 - Lucas does it again
with 2 excellent dirty house
tracks with a raw hip hop attitude.
“Like This” is a
slow burning techy affair that
just builds and builds into
an irresistible robotic groove,
while “What’s”
is prime-time big room action
in KW’s trademark pumping
style. Both sides will get play
in different venues making this
an excellent and versatile package.
Good work this time, I will
test these out on the weekend
and let you know the responses.

I really like the 'Dance' side,
very cool & a real good
groove. However, it's the 'Don't
Dance' side which is really
powerful - I love the change
in the bassline & the powerful
drums, really strong.
As a track to really keep the
floor locked in the groove,
'Don't Dance' is perfect. Wicked
stuff all round.
Konk West "Like This EP"
'Like This' is superb! Brilliant
chunky drums & a super-ass-shaking
bassline & a general all-round
powerful feel. The vocal sample
is cool too, the way it adds
to the track, almost like an
extra beat, a quality track
for sure!
Although I like 'What's', it's
a little too fast in tempo for
me, so I'll probably play it
less. However, it's still a
strong track, if not as right
for me as 'Like This'. Another
winner from Konk West though!

are really some of your best

in my opinion. I love the LIKE
THIS track. It is a funky banger.
Just like my style.
The other tune is rocking on
both sides. It is the PEZ and
PLASTIK "Dance EP.
Top quality stuff. I will play
both cuts on this one. I really
like the A-side, but they both
will work very well.
I will drop at the next JonH
and Raskal gig. I will also
chart at least one, if not both
